A simple but effective gif I did for Valt, An asset management startup. Despite being a freelancer, I received a plethora of praise from upper management, and they instantly incorporated this animation into their marketing and brand. Just shows that sometimes less is more.
Other assets delivered to Valt, This time they were interested in a potential mascot for their logo, so I submitted this minimalist and angular design of a guard dog, as well as a version of them guarding the established logo. Both were received warmly, but were ultimately rejected as the mascot initiative fell through. But that’s the way it goes sometimes, not everything you make will be used and I’m ok with that.
These next pieces are used in my personal branding. These business cards for starters are not only visually distinct and pleasing to look at. But display my love for smooth, round shapes and the color blue, as seen in my trademark “Water Blob” design.
These designs would be used on this very website, as well as my other social media platforms. The first being a general thumbnail, the second used through my site. These were my first designs to incorporate the “Water Blob“ design. I’ve always wanted to use the at-sign to replace the “A” in my name, and the fact I could then create a trail from the nub of “a“ to part of the “x was just brilliant. It took a fair bit of revision to get right however, and I had an inferiors version of the logo up for a long time before replacing it. Just something you have to wrangle with as a Graphic Designer.
