I created this comic at a SCAD workshop event back when I was still in high school, making it a first for me. Compared to the pages created by some of the other participants, it stands out as amateurish. A lot of people didn’t get what I was going for, and with only one page to work with I wouldn’t blame them. It was my first time creating piece of sequential art and the concept I dreamt up deserves more exposition. With that said, I’m super proud of this creation! I was able to covey a portion of a world I had imagined for years. Plus my comic was the only one at the even in color, so at least I was batter in that regard.

To go more into the setting, it takes place in a fantasy western hybrid world where magic cards are used to fight each other,. I was inspired by product-driven anime like Yu-Gi-Oh and Bakugan. If given the chance, I would love to delve deeper into this stupidly fun little world in a dedicated series, Possibly Netflix? but that’s just wishful thinking.
